Stathis Graduated from the Department of Physics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and pursued his PhD in Solar Physics at the University of Stanford.
He is currently a NASA LWS Jack Eddy Postdoctoral Fellow in the University Corporation for Atospheric Research (UCAR) while he is also a visiting scholar at Standford.

His research interests focus on SolarSeismology, Space Weather Forecasts and machine learning applications in solar physics.
